Are new builds the way to go?
đ ONLY 3 YEARS OLD⊠AND THE CEILINGS WERE COVERED IN MOULD This is a good example of why new doesnât necessarily mean problem-free. I recently inspected a townhouse that was only around 3 years old. Upstairs, extensive mould was visible across the bathroom ceilings, with areas of the ceiling lining deteriorating from moisture. The roof space was extremely restricted â so low that it could only be viewed from the access hatch and by feeding a camera through downlight openings

New Build Issues
đȘ When ânew buildâ doesnât mean âno problemsâ đ
Youâd think a brand-new house would be flawless⊠but today I inspected a new build and found a non-opening window installed upside down đ Yes â the drainage slots are now at the top! Not ideal when it rains⊠unless the plan was to water the insulation đŠ Just another reminder why even new homes need a proper inspection â building mistakes happen more often than youâd think. If youâre buying new (or near-new), get it checked p
